Definition
Reflection is the agent's process of self-assessing its actions to improve future performance. After completing a task, the agent reviews what worked, what didn't, and adjusts its approach for similar tasks in the future.
Example
An agent drafts a customer email, then reviews it against the company's tone guidelines, identifies three areas where the tone was too formal, and adjusts the next email to be more conversational.
Why it matters
Reflection is what makes agents improve over time. Without it, agents repeat the same mistakes. With it, every interaction makes the next one better.
